Chris Corbin & Jeremy King
Chris and Jeremy have been partners in business for over 25 years. They first met whilst Chris was working at Langan’s Brasserie and Jeremy at Joe Allen’s, both influential restaurants on the London scene in the late 1970s-early 80s. In 1981, together with Joseph Ettedgui, they bought and refurbished Le Caprice which had originally opened in the 1940s. After a difficult start it became a great success and Chris and Jeremy were able to buy out their partner. The Ivy was subsequently acquired in 1990 and was a phenomenon consistently topping the Zagat and Hardens Guides as most popular restaurant. They continued their theme of restoring faded restaurants to their former glory by buying J Sheekey in 1998. In the same year, they sold Caprice Holdings Limited to Signature Restaurants although continued to work until 2000. After a break from 'the floor' they acquired the site that became The Wolseley, opening in November 2003.
Rémy Lysé – Managing Director
Rémy has had many years valuable experience in both the restaurant and hotel industry including the development and construction of the 5* Sofitel St James where he spent 4 years as Operations Director; 7 years at The Dorchester and in Paris at the Hotel de Crillon. Previously he worked as a General Manager for Conran Restaurants at the Gastrodome and Bluebird. He joined Rex Restaurant Associates in April 2005.
Robert Holland - General Manager and Director
Robert joined Corbin and King at The Ivy in 1991. He was promoted to Assistant Manager in 1995 and when Caprice Holdings acquired J Sheekey in 1998, he was appointed General Manager. He left J Sheekey in 2003 to open The Wolseley.
