The Wolseley ‘Haut-Médoc’ is an equal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and comes from the excellent Cru Bourgeois property Château Liversan whose vineyards are situated in the commune of St Sauveur, which adjoins Pauillac, right in the heart of the Haut-Médoc. From the rich 2003 vintage, the wine displays a fine, intense, plum fruit nose with oak spices. Ripe and rounded with blackcurrant and plum fruit on the palate, medium bodied with a long, smooth, dark fruit finish.
The father and son team of Jean and Jean-Paul Durup own the largest family Domaine in Chablis, which lies in the north of the Burgundy region, famous for Chardonnay based wines. The Wolseley ‘Petit Chablis’ is from the classic 2005 vintage and traditional in style with pure, crisp, ripe, minerally fruit.
750ml, alcohol 12.5% volume.
